Organized by Keith “K-Dub” Williams, a well-known local muralist and art teacher, it provides 80 yards square of pro-designed jumps and curves. The opening was well attended and featured a DJ, free shirts and swag, and appearances by skate entrepreneurs and the media, like FuelTV from LA and CineSource Magazine from Oakland. K-Dub also organizes Hood Games, see www.hoodgamesskate.com, a related bridging mechanism, combining skating, art and music. A couple of sponsors have caught on but participation is still small, leaving it a magnificent event waiting to happen, see the lovely webdoc.
